In My Opinion:

I have very sensitive skin. If it gets extra dry or if I get too stressed out, my skin gets irritated and itchy. My dermatologist suggested that I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash during these times and Aveeno has always worked very well for me in these situations.

I ran out of my bar soap recently and my schedule was too busy for me to run to the store. It was just and my Aveeno at the house! I used it for four consecutive days before I was able to get to the store! By then my skin was softer, smoother and completely hydrated!

I found myself heading for the body washes instead of the bar soaps when I finally made it to the store! I discovered that Aveeno has a vast line of skin care products for all skin types and skin care situations. It's a very affordable, conveniently accessible line that is full of skin beneficial ingredients like nourishing oils, shea butter and oatmeal. It also comes in sense-soothing fragrances like lavender, blueberries and my personal favorite . . . pomegranate. It smells so good! If you are using bar soap or other body wash you must try Aveeno. It will change your mind!

 

Try This:

Throw out your bar soap! Choose an Aveeno body wash for your skin type instead. I know you will feel the difference after one day but I encourage you to use it until the bottle runs out. You will benefit for years to come from the results!

 

My Recommendation:

I don't use bar soaps any more! Skin is your body's largest organ. It must be kept healthy and it deserves to be pampered. For radiant skin that gets noticed, replace your bar soap with an Aveeno body wash. Follow it up with an Aveeno body lotion. It's an excellent choice for even the most sensitive skin types. You are going to love me for this one, Bombshells! The good news is you're going to love me even more as the years go by for this age defying advice!

Concerning Tiger Woods and, since I am at it, Chris Brown . . .  while I don’t in any way condone their recent actions, I can’t help but wonder  how many of the people who sat on the committees that made the decisions which resulted in their losing their sponsorships are presently involved in extra marital affairs or beating their significant others.

Happy New Year

 

I love to write.  Sometimes I wish that I could sing . . . but the truth is my passion is writing.  It is my tool of expression.  When I’m happy . . .  I want to write about it.  When I am upset,  I have to write it out.  When I learn something new, the very first thing on my mind is writing it down.  Then, after I have written about it, the most immediate thing on my mind is sharing what I learned with others.

Writing heals me. . . it makes me grow and when I am not writing I am not expressing  who I am in a manner in which brings me satisfaction.  I am not being myself.

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away then my apple is writing.  “Having my cake” . . .  is writing – “eating it too” . . . is sharing it with others.

I have asked the universe for lots of things and although they may not have come wrapped in the neat little beautiful packages that I’d hoped for  . . . they arrive and I have received them all . . . including THIS opportunity to write and share. . . and this particular package came in an even bigger and more beautiful package than I could have imagined it could have arrived.

When you are given a talent, you must learn about it, practice it and exercise it so that it grows and spreads and helps others.  That is what I have committed to do this year.  I will eat my apple a day and I will have my cake and eat it too!

Know Better

If I tell you that 1+1=3, then you will tell me that 1+1=2.  Why?  . . . because you know better.  If I tell you that the sky is pink, you will tell me that the sky is blue.  Why because you know better.

 

Knowing better simply means that you have already learned from a previous experience.  It means that you have already been equipped with a specific knowledge that places you in a more advantageous position.

 

For example, last summer I went to an amusement park.  I wore a cute little sun dress and really high heels. . . of course!  Yeah . . . I looked hot but getting on and off rides turned out to be a major task to make certain I wasn’t flashing the goods to anyone and my feet hurt for two days straight!  Now, I know better!  When it comes to amusement parks it is a low comfortable wedge and shorts for this bombshell!

Of course . . . knowing better translates to all aspects of your life . . . not just fashion!  Live, learn, read, experience.  Know better.

The Bombshell’s Bedroom is the Bombshell's private Bombshelter.  It is our Central Command Center.  Make it  a very sexy, sensual, sense-soothing space that motivates and inspires your inner Bombshell.  A place where you can relax and recharge.  Here are some suggestions to own your zone:

 

Make Your Room Bloom

Bring in a small floral arrangement and  a green low-light plant. This will create a cozy atmosphere and provide you room with more ‘living energy’.

 

Add Instant Smiles

Fill your Bombshelter with things that bring an instant smile on your face like photos, your music, your favorite movies and special momentos.  No bills or stacks or dirty laundry allowed!

 

Wear Your Bedsheets

Think of your bedsheets more like an outfit that you wear every night!  With that thought in mind . . . change your sheets frequently and ‘wear’ top notch linens next to your skin!

 

Prepare For A Long Stay

The Bombshelter must be properly equipped so you can rendezvous for hours.  Bring in a stach of bottled water and a bowl of your favorite fruit.  No refridgerator required!

 

Try Some Room Perfume

Light some scented candles and engage yourself in some aromatherapy.  Try peppermint and grapefruit to promote concentration and mental clarity or lavender and jasmine to sooth away stress.

Solitary Refinement

Nature grows in silence.  It blossoms, develops, produces and becomes without any spotlights, announcements, advertisements or headlines.

 

We are nature.  We require silence in order to become exactly what it is we desire to be.  Our silence, time with ourselves by ourselves, is our very necessary Solitary Refinement.

 

We are like a bottle of oil and water.  Everyday we are shaken up and the oil can not be distinguished from the water.  However, when the bottle is set down for a while, the two ingredients arrange themselves into two distinct layers.

 

We settle during Solitary Refinement.  We arrange ourselves into four distinct layers.  The physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  We remove ourselves from dwelling in the past or preparing for the future.  We allow ourselves to simply be.  The quieter we become the more we can hear our deepest intuitions whispering detailed instructions on how we can blossoms and develop each layer.

 

When we consistently continue to grant ourselves a few minutes of Solitary Refinement each day, we gain the ability to define ourselves in relation to nothing at all as well as everything in particular.  We strengthen our ability to remain calm admist any storm while still maintaining our perspective, balance, and focus.

Turn off the television.  Turn off the radio.  Turn off the phone.  Turn off the lights.

 

Turn off.  Tune in.  Tap into.

Dress To Express

Put on something that is totally Bombshell.  Express who you are without a care about what other will think.  Don’t limit yourself because you are going to be concerned about how others will react.  Wear what you really want instead of using others as a guide about what is right for you.
